Esther Cyna

Welcome,

I am an Associate Professor of U.S. History and Society at the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin, Paris-Saclay (Centre d’Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines).

My research focuses on racism in school finance from a historical perspective. My new book, under contract with UNC Press, traces the history of educational funding in the South of the US, especially in the state of North Carolina.

I am a doctor in History and Education and American Studies with a Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University and the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
